Ensemble

The members of Arte Sonora met during their studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Since 2013 they perform together regularly. Their line-up involves two recorders, cello and harpsichord. The repertoire includes European baroque music, from the early baroque Italian Canzona to the high baroque trio sonata of Johann Sebastian Bach. It also encompass solo pieces, solo sonatas and duets.

Ruth Kerschner

*1987 in Linz (Austria)

Bachelor's and Master's degree recorder (IGP) at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Helge M. Stiegler and Rahel Stoellger, graduation in April 2015 with distinction. Bachelor's degree saxophone (IGP) with Christian Maurer, graduation in June 2011 with distinction. Master classes with Andreas Böhlen, William Dongois, Han Tol, Thomas List, Flanders Recorder Quartet. Quartet New Generation and Amsterdam Loeki Stardust Quartet. Regular concert activities with the chamber music ensemble Arte Sonora. She also participated in Baroque Services with Mareen Osterloh in March 2017 and played as a soloist in Musik und Wort im Advent with the Waidhofner Kammerorchester conducted by Wolfgang Sobotka in December 2016 and as a soloist in the ballet production Shakespeare dances with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra conducted by Garrett Keast in Theater an der Wien in May 2016. Teaching at Landesmusikschulwerk Oberösterreich and at BafEP 12 as well as the VHS Hietzing in Vienna.



Gabriel Hasenburger

*1986 in Graz (Austria)

Cello studies with Hildgund Posch, Herwig Tachezi and Robert Nagy at University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MA). He also studied baroque cello with Herwig Tachezi and Bruno Cocset and Emmanuel Balssa at the ESMUC in Barcelona. Furthermore he took harpsichord lessons with Margret Bogner and Stefan Gottfried. His teaching activities include music schools Orth an der Donau and Mannersdorf and also the Orchestra Camp Mostviertler Zauberbögen (OMZ) and Werktage für Alte Musik Weiz.




Ana Maria Ospina

*1983 in Bogotá (Kolumbien)

Studied piano and Electronic Engineering in Colombia. Since September 2008 she pursues organ studies at University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna with Martin Haselböck. Since September 2009 she also studies harpsichord with Wolfgang Glüxam and Augusta Campagne. Master classes with Pascal Marsault, Christian Schmitt, Ludger Lohman, Wolfgang and Jürgen Essl Zerer. Solo and chamber music performances in Colombia (concert cycle Lunes de Jóvenes Intérpretes 2009), Austria (Laudes Organi 2011 and 2012, Bach-Woche 2013 and 2015), Turkey (Classical Musical Concerts 2011), Poland (III International Festival of Organ and Chamber Music) and in Slovakia (festival Ars Organi Nitra 2013). Collaborations with Capella Albertina Vienna, Coro con Brio and Pandolfi Consort Wien.


Julia Wurm

*1987 in Wien (Austria)

Studied recorder at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna with Helge M. Stiegler. After spending a year in Switzerland to study at Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with Conrad Steinmann she graduated with distinction in November 2014 (MA). Masterclasses with Carin van Heerden, Maurice van Lieshout and Han Tol. Currently studying Pharmacy in Vienna. From September 2013 til June 2016 teaching at the music school Tulln, since February 2017 at music school Groß Siegharts. Her passion for the recorder shows in her work with Arte Sonora. She also participated in an opera production of Hänsel and Gretel at Wiener Kammeroper in May 2016.
